This has been a difficult time as schools make contingency plans in response to the threat posed by the coronavirus. We would like to make at least one aspect of your decision-making easier by summarizing some key information regarding ERB testing.
We know the value of keeping your longitudinal achievement and/or admission data intact while working around any necessary school closings. We hope this information will help you develop contingency plans in the event that your school needs to close, so that you may still collect important student data this Spring. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We admire your ability to nurture intellectual and social growth under challenging conditions and wish you and your family good health and a speedy return to normal operations.
The spring testing window runs until July 24, 2020. If you normally test in March, April, or May, but plan to extend your school year into the summer, we can be there with you. We're offering online or paper test administration outside of normal school hours, including before and after school as well as on weekends. ERB staff will be in touch with CTP administrators next week to assist with exam rescheduling, as needed.
If your school plans to transition to a distance learning program in which students and faculty work from home, we will work with you to deliver CTP Online tests in a secure format to students in their homes. If you're interested in at-home testing please use the button below to request more information.
Our ISEE team and partners at Prometric Testing Centers are closely monitoring the spread of the virus and necessary closures. Please check www.iseetest.org for Test Center status updates. Rescheduling fees are being waived at this time.
For school sites that are able to test, the ISEE Operations Office is prepared to assist with your continuity in testing. For those who are unable to test due to school or test site closures, we are exploring options for meeting the admissions testing needs of schools and families. We will provide an update on options in the coming couple of weeks.
Supporting Educators Through This Challenging Time
Despite the changes we are all experiencing due to the coronavirus, ERB remains committed to staying open and supporting our members, including through the provision of professional development opportunities. We will be offering webinars on a variety of topics relevant to educators over the coming months, including topics specific to navigating distance learning and changes in the independent school landscape due to coronavirus. If you are unable to attend the desired session, webinar recordings are always available upon request.
The window for submitting WrAP essays for scoring has been extended to July 24, 2020.
We have assembled a small open-source library of helpful videos, recorded webinars, and written guides to support social and emotional learning during this challenging time and beyond.
